Stunning, Mid 20th Century, continental impressionist landscape scene. Blue skies on a blustery day with dappled light. Clearly executed by an expert hand the artist has used a vibrant colour palette, applied liberally with a palette knife giving the trees and undergrowth body and movement bringing the composition to life. You can almost hear the wind as it whistles through the rugged tree line, gently complimented by the pleasant winding path snaking its way into the mountainous background.

Presented in a black, moulded gesso frame with restorations, indistinctly signed lower left.
