Breathtaking oil on canvas rural landscape scene with resting girl. Signed lower right, dated 1878 and presented in an ornate period frame.

Hulme, a well respected name in the landscape world, notably exhibited work at the Royal Academy from 1852 to 1884, the British Institution from 1845 to 1862 and the Royal Manchester Institution.

Frame and painting in excellent colour and condition with no sign of overpainting, however would benefit a light clean.
