A tranquil rural landscape by listed artist Ernest Charles Walbourn (1872-1927)

Quaint oil on canvas landscape, Wixford, a small hamlet in the Stratford-on-Avon District. Signed lower right, dated 1899 and presented in an ornate period frame.

Walbourn was a British landscape painter renowned for his rural and farming scenes, he exhibited nationally including the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of British Artists as well as being sold internationally to private collections by London art dealers W.W Sampson and Louis Wolfe.
