Early 20th Century Oil Portrait featuring the Racehorse Melton Yank

Oil on canvas, thoroughbred racehorse titled to the top Melton Yank and indistinctly signed lower right.

A well documented horse, Melton Yank appears several times in the London Evening Standard in 1910 at the Newmarket Races and was trained by Harry Melton.

The canvas is stamped verso with Winsor and Newton London, presented in a black wooden frame.
